We are working on our Animal Research Reports. We are going to make a Google Slideshow on the animal we have researched. Please ask your child to show you what they have learned. You can access it at home with their google account.

Some of you have mentioned you could not open the link. I think if the children sign on to your device with their school email, they can access it. For your convenience, I put up a screenshot of a sample poster board.

Our class is currently learning about the many ways parents, grandparents, and ancestors have made a difference in our lives. Here are some of the topics we have covered in this unit:
- We are exploring some of the unique traditions of families, both in our community and around the world.
- Every child has his or her own family history and traditions. We want to take a look at some of them.
- Learning about our family’s past will help your child see how their ancestors’ traditions, values, and practices have influenced their own lives.
This week and next week your child will need your help to work on a project for school. Here are some ways you can help your child:
- Your child will have a set of questions to ask as an interview. Please help them by answering the questions and writing your responses.
- They will be doing an oral presentation that should include heirloom/artifact, such as food, maps,toys/games, or clothes. Help your child practice for their presentation; they will need to show what they brought and explain why they brought it, (how does it relate to their family background?
- Work with your child to prepare a poster board. It will help their oral presentation!
I look forward to learning about your families!
